About Harriet
My name is Harriet, I am 20 years old and just relocated from Queensland to Melbourne. I aim to create a safe and open environment of learning where questions are welcomed and curiosity cherished. I love being able to explain and teach the subjects I enjoyed learning about and hope to use this tutoring platform as a way to apply my university degree of Chemistry Major and master’s education (third year). Being able to see the moment where it clicks in someone’s mind is the best feeling and watching their confidence grow in the reward.

I believe it’s important that for students to study a topic they must first understand the theory that supports the concepts and procedures related. I aim to break down concepts into smaller topics to allow students to fully grasp and comprehend the theory in its entirety. Only then can support towards mathematical procedures and explanations for questions be truly effective. I would take the work provided to the students by their teachers, analyze the content being covered, understand the areas of struggle and break down those areas for understanding and then revert back to the work provided and assist in answering the questions.

I really needed to review the basics of mathematics for the first year of university and she was really helpful to me not only with repetitions but also in advice on how to pass the exams and she gave me above all a method that will help me for all the university years for example breaking down a question to know what it’s asking me
