About Oliver
I provide professional mathematics tuition for primary and lower secondary students. I am a Banking and Digital Finance undergraduate at the University of Sussex with a strong mathematical background. I achieved an A Level in Mathematics and currently maintain a high grade in my degree, which involves heavy financial modelling and programming. I am an active member of the Sussex Fintech and Banking Society, where I engage with complex technical concepts regularly.
I teach because I want to help students build the same numerical confidence that led me to pursue a finance degree. My experience as a lifeguard and a sales representative has taught me how to communicate clearly and remain patient under pressure. I understand that maths can be intimidating. I use my analytical skills to simplify difficult topics for younger learners.
Lessons last fifty minutes. This duration ensures students stay focused and productive. We start with a five-minute mental maths warm-up. We spend thirty-five minutes on a core topic like fractions or long division. We end with ten minutes of guided practice. This structure builds mastery step by step.
I specialise in teaching students aged seven to fourteen. I support students in Years 3 through 9 with their school curriculum. I identify specific learning gaps and bridge them with practical examples. I tailor every session to your current skill level to ensure you reach your full potential.

I teach primary and early secondary maths by showing how numbers work. I use drawings to explain fractions and shapes. This makes the maths easy to see. We practise together until you feel confident.
Lessons last forty-five to sixty minutes. This keeps your mind fresh. We do a quick warm-up. We learn one new thing. We solve a few problems to finish.
I know the school curriculum for ages seven to fourteen. I understand the common mistakes students make. I show you how to avoid them. I explain things in plain English.
These lessons are for students in primary and early secondary school. I help with basic counting and harder algebra. I change the lesson to fit your speed. You will get better at maths every week.
