About Matthew
I am a graduate from the University of Texas at Austin. I have worked in several research labs at multiple universities doing biology and biostatistics work. I love to teach and watch students grow in their knowledge, and their own appreciation of the topics we cover. I have tutored undergraduates before, and have led workshops up to the graduate student level.

I believe in interactive approaches to learning. I will let students work through problems and help correct habits that make it harder to reach solutions. I am experienced teaching science and R programming, and have been successful at making learning engaging and rewarding. I can teach science, math, and programming up to the college level. I will typically have problems or projects prepared for students to work through, but am also happy to accommodate other types of lessons (such as a student coming with their own problem set, or wanting a more lecture based approach).
