About Bahar
I have been a tutor for two years:) Other than that I was awarded the bronze medal in the international geometry Olympiad and was fortunate to win a bronze in international math contest. I would be more than happy to help students understand concepts that I once struggled with myself.

I like to structure my lessons based on the student's needs. Are we short on time and need to wrap everything up as fast as possible? Or can we get into more depth? In case of the latter, I would like to start with some fundamentals through an intuitive approach. I believe it's easier to understand the concept and use the formula if we know where they're coming from. I would use different tools to better demonstrate each concept (e.g. MATLAB, Desmos, virtual labs, etc.). I think a strong emphasis on the foundation is what sets me apart. I like to prove the formula, confirm answers and discuss the results and I know how to do them in a timely manner.
But if we don't have that much time, then I'll go over different question types and when and how to use each formula related to the concept. I will wrap up this session with solving multiple past exam questions
Regardless of the chosen pace for the lesson, I would want to have all the material ready so the student's time isn't wasted on me trying to create a table, draw a graph, pull up a document, etc.
I have taught high school calculus, math and geometry previously. I'm also very confident in my university level calculus and physics knowledge.
