About Alyssa
My journey into computer programming began with a deep curiosity about how abstract ideas could be transformed into practical, functional systems through logic and code. This curiosity led me to pursue a B.Sc in Computer Science and Engineering, where I gained a strong foundation in algorithms, software design, and system architecture. Over the past 13 years, I have worked with students from diverse backgrounds, helping them move from confusion and self-doubt toward clarity and confidence through patient, structured instruction. I believe effective programming education requires empathy, clarity, and adaptability. Many learners feel overwhelmed when programming is introduced too quickly or without proper explanation. I focus on creating a calm learning environment where students feel safe asking questions, making mistakes, and exploring ideas at their own pace. By breaking down problems carefully and revisiting concepts when needed, I help learners build genuine understanding rather than temporary solutions. Outside of teaching, I remain actively engaged with programming through continuous learning, personal development projects, and exploration of emerging technologies. This ongoing involvement allows me to bring real-world relevance and practical insight into my lessons. Teaching programming is deeply fulfilling because I witness students gain independence, confidence, and pride as they realize they can design solutions through logical thinking and creativity.

Computer programming becomes far more approachable when learners understand that code is simply a clear expression of logical thinking rather than something mysterious or intimidating.
