About Sophie
My passion for programming developed when I realized how abstract logic could create practical tools and solutions. I pursued a B.Sc in Computer Science followed by an M.Sc in Software Engineering, gaining expertise in programming theory, system design, and application development. Over the past 11 years, I have helped learners build strong coding foundations through structured, supportive instruction. I teach with clarity, encouragement, and adaptability, ensuring explanations align with each learner’s pace. I emphasize understanding over memorization, helping students see how programming logic connects across different contexts. Many learners who initially feel uncertain gradually gain confidence as they develop problem-solving independence. Outside teaching, I remain actively engaged with new technologies, personal coding projects, and ongoing professional learning. Teaching programming is deeply rewarding because it equips learners with logical thinking skills that extend far beyond code.

Computer programming becomes approachable when learners understand how logical thinking translates into working solutions. In my lessons, I guide students through programming fundamentals, algorithms, data structures, object-oriented design, and debugging techniques using structured explanations and practical coding exercises. I focus on helping learners understand why their code behaves as it does, not just how to write it.
Lesson plans are adapted to each learner’s experience level. Beginners focus on syntax, variables, loops, and basic logic. Intermediate learners strengthen modular design, debugging strategies, and structured problem-solving. Advanced learners explore algorithm efficiency, project planning, and real-world application development. Each session blends explanation, hands-on practice, and reflective discussion to reinforce understanding.
