About Kayla
My journey into programming began with a fascination for how software systems solve real-world problems. This led me to pursue a B.Sc in Software Systems, where I developed strong foundations in programming logic and system design. Over 12 years of teaching, I have supported learners in building confidence through structured explanation and consistent encouragement. I believe effective programming instruction depends on clarity and empathy. Many students feel overwhelmed initially, so I focus on breaking problems into smaller, understandable steps. I encourage learners to ask questions freely and view mistakes as a natural part of learning. Outside teaching, I remain actively involved in programming through personal projects and continuous skill development. Teaching programming is deeply rewarding because I see students gain independence and confidence as they realize they can design solutions through logical thinking.

Programming becomes far less intimidating when learners understand that code is simply structured logic expressed clearly. I guide students to understand how ideas are translated into code step by step, ensuring they feel confident and supported throughout the learning process.
Lessons are customized based on experience level. Beginners focus on variables, conditions, loops, and simple programs that reinforce logical thinking. Intermediate learners develop modular design, debugging strategies, object-oriented concepts, and data handling skills. Advanced students refine algorithm efficiency, project organization, and preparation for technical assessments. Practical exercises are central to every lesson, reinforcing understanding through real application.
Programming education also strengthens transferable skills beyond coding. Students develop patience, resilience, and systematic thinking when approaching complex challenges.
