About Lance
My passion for programming began when I first realised that logical ideas could become real tools that solve problems and create opportunities. This curiosity led me to pursue a B.Tech in Computer Science and later an M.Sc in Advanced Software Engineering, where I explored both the theoretical depth and the practical power of modern computing. Over the past 12 years, I have guided students from complete beginners to confident programmers by providing structured teaching that is encouraging, clear, and deeply supportive.
I believe that the best programming education focuses on understanding rather than memorisation. My teaching style emphasises the “why” behind every concept, helping learners build true clarity instead of copying patterns without confidence. I adapt lessons to each student’s pace, offering reassurance when concepts feel challenging and pushing gently forward when students are ready for deeper growth. My goal is always to help learners feel comfortable, capable, and proud of their progress.
Outside of tutoring, I remain actively engaged with programming through software projects, continued learning, and exploring new technologies shaping the future. Teaching is deeply meaningful to me because I witness students transform from uncertainty into independence. Supporting learners as they gain skills that open doors in technology, education, and career development is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

Programming becomes truly empowering when students understand that coding is not just typing commands, but learning how to think in a structured and creative way. Intermediate learners strengthen debugging ability, modular programme design, and the skill of writing clean, organised code. Advanced students focus on algorithm efficiency, system thinking, project development, and interview-style problem solving. I provide guidance that is detailed, patient, and motivating, ensuring students develop both technical skill and independent reasoning.
Programming lessons also shape learners into stronger analytical thinkers. Students gain resilience as they learn to approach mistakes as part of growth rather than failure. Over time, they develop confidence in building programmes, solving complex tasks, and trusting their ability to learn new technologies independently. My goal is to help every learner feel capable of thriving in the modern digital world through strong coding mastery.
