About Benjamin
I am a passionate teacher and student I have spent the majority of my life developing my programming skills and I have gained extensive experience from my previous tutoring of French. In life and in education I believe balance is paramount which is why my lessons are adaptable and designed for individual students in mind. I began programming at the age of 12 with a coding club I founded in my secondary school. Since then I attended yearly Digital Champions in Dublin and continued to develop my skills. I have since graduated with a computer science degree. I believe in strong foundational knowledge and developing a student's personal learning style. By adapting my lessons I aim to reinforce a student's strength and identify and support their difficulties. My lessons are never longer than an hour as I believe you lose lots of productivity after a certain point. A strong mix of theory and practicality is essential. My lessons are suitable for beginner and intermediate learners, I am familiar with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, C++, and processing. I can also aid with general computer skills. I can also aid with computer science classes at university, especially Trinity.
