I start with the importance of the subject and the practical examples of the same, to build the students interest.
Then, I go with the theory along with a few questions to build the concept.
Once the concept is clear, I start with the text book exercises.
Once done with the text book exercises and the doubts, I take a small test and move on to the next chapter.
