About Mathavan
As a Computer Science + Mathematics student at the University of Ottawa, I have a strong background in math and have completed courses including Calculus I/II, Linear Algebra, and Discrete Mathematics, earning an A/A+ in all of them.
Additionally, I have experience as a classroom assistant at Kumon, where I graded and prepared classwork and homework materials for students across K-12 grade levels and supported students in math and reading.

As a tutor I look to help students truly understand concepts rather than simply memorizing procedures. I know how rewarding it can feel when a difficult concept finally starts to make sense, and I want to help students experience that as well. I ask students in advance for what they would like to work on in order to create a lesson plan, and adapt the lesson plan according to each student's lesson plan.
As a computer science and mathematics student at the University of Ottawa I bring strong analytical and critical thinking skills as well as a strong understanding of math concepts. My lessons are aimed mostly at high school math courses and introductory math courses (Calculus I, Calculus II)
