About Matt
My goal, as a tutor, is to ensure that the content is understood to completion. I want to guide students to understanding and solving beginner to complex problems and provide them with the tools to do so. I have much experience as a student and while I understand that teachers attempt to reach the largest audience possible with their style of teaching, not every student learns the same way. I leverage this by gathering information on what was taught and how I can reiterate the information in a more personalized and approachable fashion.

I start by addressing where the student may be having difficulties with the content and adjusting my teaching style depending on those individual needs.
A lesson plan will involve the core subjects of the student's needs. As we work through different theory and problems, we can gauge the gaps in knowledge or understanding and revert to a more foundational lesson to ensure complete understanding of the content ahead.
It will first be an introductory to the theory of the subject. We then move on to a simple example problem to link the theory to practical application. From there we can expand to more difficult problems where the same theory can apply but in more creative ways.
The idea is to build stepping stones to more complex problems to allow students to view solutions from different perspectives.
