About Cameron
Researcher with a Ph.D. in Computer Science. One of the first things you learn during a doctorate is how to convey complex information in as clear a manner as possible.
I have several years of graduate teaching experience (degree level) in computer science, and have taught modules that range from software engineering, to computer vision, to machine learning.

I am currently offering one-hour lessons on everything from object-oriented programming to machine learning. While I can tutor on these topics generally, I also tailor lessons to your specific needs and aims.
I believe that there are two main approaches to learning in computer science.
If what you want to learn is a practical, and applied topic - (a programming technique, front-end web design, even machine learning), the best approach is to build. Program the function, create the website, or develop that face detector. Once you have a working example in front of you, the theory falls into place naturally.
However, if the topic is more theoretical (statistics, algorithmic complexity, artificial intelligence), I find that breaking down the concept into its major building blocks, examining these in detail, and re-integrating into the final concept accelerates the students understanding.
