About Alexander
Hello! My name is Alexander Kopitz! I am an award-winning, classically-trained pianist with a Master's Degree in Piano Performance from Wayne State University. I have competed at the local and international levels, winning various solo and concerto competitions, including the 2016 American Prize Lorin Hollander Award. I have performance experience ranging from solo recitals, accompaniment, concertos, musical theaters, to performances with the Detroit, Oakland, and Wayne Symphony Orchestras. Beyond piano performance, I hold a background in both music theory and audio engineering. I work actively as a composer for mediums such as video games and soundtracks, and record commercially for competitions, songwriters, and voice actors. Over my 16 years of teaching experience, I have taken inspiration from my wide range of expertise, helping students of all ages and skill levels find their passion for music!
