Every child has not got the same caliber. Some kids might find maths interesting while some find english interesting. I'll keep on explaining the child unless he is clear with the concept. Regular practice will help him improve. Written and oral tests will be conducted. My way of teaching would be to ensure that the student should be thorough with the subject instead of overloading them with a lot of homework.
