About Joel
With 7+ years of experience and a BFA in Vocal Arts and Opera, I help singers discover their full vocal potential. My focus is contemporary worship and gospel music, alongside Pop, Indie, and R&B. Lessons emphasize breath control, phrasing, and healthy technique for long-term vocal stamina. I work with shy beginners, teen worship leaders, and aspiring recording artists to build confidence and overcome stage anxiety. Every session is designed to connect students emotionally with the songs they perform. Live performance coaching is a major component, preparing singers to lead congregations or record in a studio. I provide tools for expressive singing, vocal endurance, and musical storytelling. My teaching style is supportive, encouraging, and customized for each student’s goals. Students gain technical skill while learning to convey emotion and connect with listeners. We work on range expansion, tone development, and dynamic control. I enjoy helping students embrace their unique sound and musical identity. Singing becomes both a spiritual and creative practice. My aim is to inspire confidence, joy, and authenticity in every session. Together, we celebrate growth and the freedom to express your voice.

This teaching methodology focuses on helping singers thrive in group settings. Lessons emphasize choral singing, vocal blending, sight-reading, and part-singing to create harmonious ensemble performances. Students learn how to listen, match pitch, and adapt their tone to fit the group. The approach fosters teamwork, musical sensitivity, and confident participation in choirs. I work closely with both orchestra members and crossover artists to help them integrate seamlessly into ensembles. Lessons cover techniques for maintaining vocal health while singing in a group. Students develop awareness of dynamics, phrasing, and articulation within ensemble contexts. Each session includes practical exercises for improving timing, pitch accuracy, and part coordination. Group learners gain the skills to become valuable choir members and collaborators. The methodology balances technical growth with expressive singing. Students also explore musical interpretation and blending to enhance overall performance. Every singer is encouraged to contribute their unique sound while maintaining harmony. Learning becomes both structured and enjoyable, fostering confidence and teamwork.
