About Brandon
I am a drum tutor with 13 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Arts in Drumming & Rhythm Studies. My passion lies in helping students understand rhythm deeply. I focus on foundational skills that create long-term success. Students learn timing, coordination, and stick technique. My lessons are structured but flexible. I tailor content to match each student’s goals. I use exercises, play-alongs, and song training for balance. Practice routines are simple and effective. I believe every student can improve with patience. My teaching environment is calm and supportive. I enjoy celebrating student progress. I help learners build musical confidence step by step. Rhythm reading is also a big part of my curriculum. I encourage creativity and exploration. Drumming is a powerful form of expression. Watching students grow musically motivates me. Students receive guidance on effective practice routines, milestone tracking, and achievable goal-setting to ensure steady progress. My teaching environment is patient, positive, and supportive, giving learners the confidence to experiment and explore creativity. Lessons emphasise listening skills, rhythm comprehension, and practical application in both solo and ensemble contexts. Students gradually develop technical proficiency, coordination, independence, and musical confidence. Milestones are celebrated to reinforce progress and maintain motivation. Lessons cultivate discipline, focus, and problem-solving while keeping learning engaging and enjoyable. Drumming becomes a tool for self-expression, creativity, and personal growth.
