Dan is a patient, encouraging teacher. If I’m having a hard time with some aspect, like my hand position, he takes a problem solving approach and gives me practical tips that immediately helps me improve. On top of that, he is so encouraging and kind, it makes me want to learn more.

Dan has all of the qualities I was looking for in a guitar teacher: knowledgable about music theory and technique, patient, technically savvy, responsive when I reach out to him, and has a positive attitude!

He stays on top of current music trends, so he's familiar with popular songs today but also knows lots of songs from other decades. If there's a song he doesn't know, he's quick to learn how to play it and make recommendations on how best to approach it given your ability.

Dan is a fantastic instructor for beginners or even advanced players looking to fine tune a few things. He also has experience playing in bands, so he knows what it's like to get up on stage and the challenges that come along with playing with other musicians.
