About Maxine
"Teaching exists because language connects our separate worlds. Language is the bridge between a new arrival and their future home.
I began this work 6 years ago, and since then I have supported 66 students in finding their own voices. My MA in Applied Linguistics provides the technical framework for the coaching I offer. Whether working with teens, conversation-focused learners, or absolute beginners, I stay focused on the rhythm of speech.
My personal narrative spans years of one-to-one coaching for international learners. I find that clear pronunciation makes all the difference in a new environment.
Grammar can feel like a maze, but we navigate it through consistent, gentle practice. Writing essays or preparing for interviews becomes manageable once we break down the structure together. I look forward to hearing your voice gain strength as you reach for your goals."

"The first meeting starts with a simple assessment of your current speaking comfort. We identify your main goals immediately. I use recorded pronunciation drills for daily practice to maintain momentum between our meetings. My 6 years of experience inform the way I structure these sessions.
I hold an MA in Applied Linguistics to ensure my feedback is accurate and helpful. Teens and absolute beginners appreciate the steady, articulate pace I maintain throughout. We focus on phonics and essay structure to build a solid foundation. You will see progress in your vocabulary and fluency every single time we connect."
