About Courtney
Hi, I’m Courtney, I grew up in the US and moved to the UK nearly 6 years ago. I am a Science teacher and tutor with a real passion for helping young people grow in confidence and curiosity. I’ve been teaching for over 7 years. I chose to become a teacher because I genuinely believe that education can change lives. Science, in particular, has always fascinated me—it’s about asking questions, exploring the world, and discovering how things work. I love being able to share that excitement with my students and help them realise that they’re capable of more than they think.

Hi, I’m Courtney – a passionate and experienced Science tutor and qualified secondary school teacher. With over 4 years of tutoring experience and a Master’s degree in Secondary Education, I’ve helped many students grow in confidence and achieve success in KS3 and GCSE Science. My tutoring style is friendly, supportive, and tailored to each student’s needs. I break down complex topics into simple, relatable ideas and use real-world examples to make learning more engaging. Whether your child is struggling with the basics or aiming for top grades, I’ll help them build the skills and confidence they need to succeed. Lessons are typically 60 minutes, available online or in-person, and designed to fit around your schedule. I work with students aged 11–16, across all major exam boards.
