About Kabir
I’m a Physics tutor with over 4 years of experience and an MPhil in Physics, specialising in the intersection of science and art. My teaching blends a holistic, interdisciplinary approach—where physics meets art history, conservation, and cultural heritage. I focus on how light interacts with pigments, how materials age, and how science can help preserve artistic treasures. In my sessions, we explore the physical properties of materials used in paintings, sculptures, and architecture. I introduce students to non-destructive testing techniques, showing how we can study delicate works without harming them. Art historical examples are central to my teaching—each brushstroke or material choice becomes a doorway into scientific discovery. I work closely with art history students, conservationists, and anyone curious about the scientific side of restoration. We dive into topics like reflectance, refractive index, elemental analysis, and the behaviour of varnishes and substrates over time. I encourage students to ask questions, make connections, and see the invisible forces that shape how we view and preserve art. Learning with me is an exploration—not just of equations, but of meaning. My goal is to make physics a tool for understanding and safeguarding human creativity. Let’s use science to reveal, protect, and celebrate the beauty in art.

My teaching approach in Physics is relaxed, engaging, and centred around real-world applications. I believe students learn best when they see how physics works in the world around them. That’s why I use practical engineering problems to explain key concepts clearly. Whether we’re working through fluid dynamics, statics, dynamics, or materials science, I focus on how each topic connects to real engineering scenarios. I also cover areas like thermodynamics and electromagnetism, showing their importance in structural design and modern technology. My sessions are interactive, with plenty of examples and discussions to encourage deep understanding. As a Physics teacher with strong roots in computational physics, I guide students in solving complex problems through visualisation and simulation. I simplify difficult concepts and support learners at every level—whether you're just starting out or preparing for advanced exams. I encourage critical thinking and design-based learning that mirrors real engineering tasks. My aim is to help students not just pass exams, but become confident in using physics for design and innovation. Assignments become easier when you understand the core ideas behind them. I offer step-by-step help and clear strategies to approach questions logically. Together, we’ll make physics relevant and exciting for your engineering journey.
