About Jean
I am a dedicated Guitar tutor with over 7 years of experience teaching college students. My approach is creative, practical, and student-focused. I help students develop strong technical skills while nurturing their unique musical expression. I teach chords, scales, music theory, improvisation, and songwriting. I integrate play-along exercises, interactive sessions, and modern digital tools to make learning fun and effective.
I personalize lessons to match each student’s pace and style. I emphasize accountability, consistent practice, and confidence-building while encouraging creativity and self-expression. Watching students grow, perform, and enjoy music is my greatest reward. I design lessons to be structured, inspiring, and motivating.

I teach guitar with a focus on creativity, critical thinking, and mentorship. My lessons encourage students to explore different musical genres, experiment with techniques, and compose their own music. Accountability is a key part of my teaching. I guide students to set goals, practice consistently, and track progress. This ensures steady improvement and helps them become independent learners.
In addition to guitar, I teach music theory, rhythm training, ear training, and songwriting. Lessons are interactive, adaptive, and tailored to each student’s learning style. My goal is to inspire students to enjoy music while becoming confident, creative, and skilled musicians.
