I have nearly 20 years` experience of teaching in further, adult and higher education, and in a range of community and one to one settings. I develop students' writing skills and confidence through playful learning activities, focused discussion, and detailed constructive feedback. Sessions typically last for one hour.
I`m committed to creating learning spaces in which students feel able to ask questions, make mistakes and take risks. I'm particularly interested in developing and nurturing creativity, but I'm also experienced in supervising and marking assignments at BA and MA level.
I've taught large and small groups, and in one to one settings, for City University, Royal Holloway, the University of Oxford and Middlesex University. I have a PGCE in post-compulsory education and I'm a fellow of the Higher Education Academy. I tutor students in creative and academic writing from 16+ to adult, including university students and those outside academia looking for writing support.
