About Blair
Hello! My name is Blair Butler, and I am a practiced wordsmith by trade and a self-motivated storyteller by heart. Whether through words, pictures, video, or music, I create stories that inspire the mind, motivate the spirit, and linger in the heart. I have been writing stories and novels for over ten years and have written five unpublished novels, and am working on getting my next novel published.
Storytelling is the reason I live and breathe and thus have been researching different ways to tell effective, entertaining, and thought-provoking stories since I was a child.
I will always take my time to help you learn what I have learned and reach your full potential when it comes to telling your story.

Storytelling is an art that anyone can do - and I do mean anyone - to the point where children do it very early on as a form of natural human creative expression. Humans have been telling stories for at least 36,000 years, and with so many years of storytelling behind our belts, we've developed conventions and styles that inform how we tell stories today.
I will teach you the theory and art of storytelling and creative writing such that you are able to brainstorm ideas, outline a story, and write that story.
When one begins learning how to write a story, one might come across common rules such as these:
- Show, don't tell.
- “Said” is dead.
- Don’t use adverbs.
As well as many others. Well, I approach writing in a way that throws rules right out the window while still keeping the fundamental ideas behind them. I will teach you to "learn the rules like a master so you can break them like an artist."
