About Justin

Hi!

I'm an experienced and skilled tutor based in London. My core subjects are English and Latin, but I'm also confident teaching French, History, Greek, German

You won't find a more affordable, more competent tutor around.

If you're in need of a bit of extra help with English GCSE or A-Level, or feel you aren't getting the support you need from school, please get in touch.

I have a first-class degree in Classics from Durham University, and recently completed an MA in Creative Writing at the University of East Anglia. My other qualifications include 12 A*s at GCSE and 3A*s 1A at A Level. I have tutored in a variety of capacities throughout my secondary school and university life. I've been tutoring for over 8 years and also teach at the City Lit in London.

Please note that my hourly rate for A-Level will be different from what's advertised on my profile - get in touch for rates.

Some of my most inspiring and fruitful experiences across my education were one-on-one classes and tuitions, so I am a strong advocate of the tutoring mission .I believe in talking to and meeting the needs of the person there in front of you, not the person you want to be there.

When not tutoring I am a director and theatremaker.

I look forward to meeting you!

Justin has been an amazing tutor for me and I can honestly say that I would not have been able to pass English if it wasn’t for him. He’s very knowledgeable but most importantly knows how to teach, even at A level English.

Justin helped me review my PhD thesis. He was an enormous help and I believe that I could not have written the thesis to the standard it is in without his help. He not only looked at the english and grammar mistakes, but also asked many questions which really helped clarify my ideas.
