About Charles
I am an English Major, and a Certified Master Tutor. I work with students of all levels up until about the junior year of college, and even past that if the subject area isn't English. I have worked with ESL and differently-able students, and all are very welcome. I have been tutoring college students in writing for 3 years, and the vast majority of my tutees not only pass their classes, but find a love for reading and writing they never knew they had.

My "Teaching" method is entirely based on you, the person who wants to learn. I am a tutor. I don't tell you what to learn, I find the best way for YOU the learner to understand.
John Dewey, a famous educational philosopher and psychologist, believed that education only works when it is democratic and relevant. This means that we only really learn when we are involved in the educational process, and when it matters to us. My job is to find a way to make it matter to you beyond just getting past a class.
I'm not going to cram Shakespeare down your throat, but if you need help understanding his writing, I will break it down. Nothing is off limits.

Cancellations up to a day in advance will not be charged. Cancellations made the day of will be considered on a case by case basis, but I'm pretty reasonable. If you do not contact me, you will more than likely be charged the full amount of the session.
The same process will be applied for rescheduling.
