About Zaheda

I'm Zaheda Jafari, a Computer Science Engineering graduate from Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies, IIIT Basar. I'm proficient in coding with C and Python and have strong web development skills. My passion for computers and the internet led me to pursue this field. Besides, I'm an avid reader who started reading books at the age of 18. Alchemist was the first book I read that inspired me to believe in the beauty of my dreams. I enjoy reading books on health, social skills, productivity, time management, and entrepreneurship. In my free time, I write poetry, blog, and volunteer. My short-term goal is to obtain a job as a software developer and pursue a master's in MIS. My long-term goal is to be an entrepreneur who can create global solutions to local problems.

Find out more about Zaheda

  • Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

My core expertise lies at the intersection of Computer Science and Data Analytics. My interest was sparked during my B. Tech at RGUKT IIT Basar, but it truly crystallized when I began working on a research project involving Quantum Neural Networks. I realized that data isn't just numbers; it's a language that tells a story about how systems—and humans—behave. This curiosity led me to pursue a career as an Analyst, where I now work on refining AI and Large Language Models.
  • What or who is the motivation behind your choosing to teach & why?

My motivation stems from the concept of "Learning by Sharing." Having worked as a coding instructor and a volunteer mentor for English learners globally, I’ve seen firsthand how a single "aha!" moment can change a student’s trajectory. I am driven by the challenge of taking complex, abstract concepts—like SQL joins or Python logic—and making them intuitive for a learner who might feel overwhelmed.
  • How does your work help society?

In my professional role as an analyst, I help ensure that the AI systems society relies on are accurate and ethical. In my role as a teacher, I am bridging the digital divide. By teaching coding and data literacy, I am empowering the next generation of "passionate achievers" to move from being mere consumers of technology to becoming creators of it.
  • If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

I look up to educators who bridge the gap between high-level research and grassroots teaching. If I had to name one, it would be those who champion open-source learning. They remind me that the most sophisticated technology is useless if it cannot be communicated clearly to someone willing to learn.
  • Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

I am a dedicated polyglot; I enjoy exploring the nuances of the six languages I speak. When I'm not looking at datasets, you’ll find me reading, writing for my blog, or practicing my "eye for detail" by documenting my learning journeys. I have a peculiar love for remembering dates and historical timelines, which keeps my memory sharp.
  • Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

During my time as a coding instructor in Chennai, I had a student who was convinced they "just weren't a math person" and wanted to quit programming. Instead of following the standard curriculum, I asked them about their favorite game. We spent the next hour "debugging" the logic of that game using simple Python variables. By the end of the session, they weren't just coding—they were explaining the logic back to me. That shift from "I can't" to "I'll try" is exactly why I stay committed to this field.
