Jeyalaxmi has been a teacher to me since I was a 6 years old. I have had a tuition at my home and she taught me English, Tamil, Hindi, Science, History, Geography and some time Mathematics. I could honestly say that I have been a proficiency holder for quite some time in my school days because of the strict tuition environment as well as her complete knowledge and control over the subject she used to teach which I'm turn helped me understand the subject better. She never came to the sessions with half learnt lessons. She did her homework
, prepared her notes and held a lot of confidence while teaching which gradually passed on to the student attending her class. She gets your attention towards her sessions with her thorough knowledge on the subject and the efficiency to make anyone understand the same. You may be wondering how I know a lot about her strengths and interests. I'd like introduce myself as Sivaramakrishnan, her brother. As a sibling, I have a lot to be envious. But one thing I could never beat her on, is her ability to be one of the best teachers.
One fine day at my college, I had to give a seminar on a chemistry topic. But I have never given a seminar before. Fortunately I had my sister explaining me the tricks to take a seminar and elaborated what the topic is all about. All I had to do in the class is to impersonate what she had explained to me and I have a fresh memory of the claps and appreciation from the teacher community who were also attending the seminar. Thanks to Jeyalaxmi for that.
I could tell a lot more incidents to show how efficient she's as a teacher. But I feel I have said enough.
