About Olivia Grace
My name is Liv! I love History and Politics and spend my free time running, reading or at band practice. I study at Durham University and want to share my passion for learning with younger people. Having recently left secondary education, I understand students' needs and I hope to inspire them to love academics as much as I do, enabling them to achieve their potential and gain confidence in their abilities.

Ethos: As a passionate academic, I believe a teacher should inspire students to approach studying in the same way - with passion. This encourages a wider appreciation of the subject which can support a successful education. Lessons: Tutoring is very tailored to the individual. My lessons will be around an hour long, with the first one free to understand what you need. I would cater my lessons to your requirements following this. I will form the basis of the lessons on what works for you, whether that be forming an essay or revising the key facts you need to know. Lessons will take place online. I aim to provide a calm environment to develop your learning, using my own academic experience to focus on your personal goals, confidence and success, whilst promoting a growth mindset. Experience: As a student at one of the top universities in the country and the world for my subject, I offer GCSE History, A-level History and A-level Politics primarily, but also offer advice in EPQs, UCAS applications, personal statements, and interview preparation. Having recently left secondary education, I have first-hand knowledge of the pressures of school and examinations. I know from being tutored myself what students appreciate: an individual approach to their learning in a calm, understanding environment. I can provide this for GCSE and A-level students, using my experience to empathise, inform my lessons and navigate any issues that may occur.
