About Ava
I am a native born English speaker who has studied English for both GCSE, receiving 9s (A*) in English Language and Literature respectively, and A-Level, where I studied English Language alongside History, Politics and Sociology. Currently, I am studying Law at the LSE (London School of Economics and Political Science). In the past, I have tutored both English Language and Literature at GCSE with both students getting the grade they wanted and needed to progress. However, I can and look forward to supporting students of all ages whether that is studying for the 11+ or SATs or just looking for a bit of help. I am DBS checked and have worked as a swimming teacher for the last three years so I have experience working with those of a younger age.

Lessons aim to be: personalised, interactive and adaptive. In regard to personalisation, the content of each session will be made specific to a student's needs and style of learning. Similarly, the element of interaction will help, not only keep lessons fun, but also allow the student to engage with the content and remember what they have learnt moving forwards. Finally, being adaptive will be an essential part of each lesson to ensure progress continues; this will include reflections on past lessons as well as changes to current and future lessons to ensure the student is gaining the most they can from each and every class.
