About Jake
I am currently a Masters student working on my degree in marine biology. As funny as it may sound I study how a marine (ocean dwelling) snail smells its predators.
At my university I am a graduate assistant, which means that I work with college students to help them design, execute and analyze the data from their own experiments. I have also been a tutor for math and science for elementary aged students.
Outside of school I love rock climbing, scuba diving, reading, cooking and spending as much time as I can outside!

My teaching style is student-centrist. I recognize that everyone is at different levels, has different amounts of free time and that life can be crazy!
Whether it be elementary school homework, a college course or even a postgraduate that needs someone to bounce ideas off, I have the background to help various age groups.
I prefer to have a discussion about work rather than lecture, and nothing makes me more happy than to see students excited about something they formerly struggled with.
