About Lexi
I am a second-year PhD student at Vanderbilt University in the Department of Molecular Physiology and Biophysics. I previously received my BS from Northeastern University in Boston, MA, in Cell and Molecular Biology, followed by a two-year gap year of industry work experience at Casma Therapeutics. I am dedicated to helping my students with their coursework and will be incredibly patient and professional. The goal is not only for me to help you improve your grades but also for your confidence and understanding of the material.

With a very hands-on and visual teaching style, I will help students learn best practices for understanding and answering questions regarding various math and science courses. A typical lesson plan would include gathering materials the student is currently learning in class and taking time to explain major topics. I engage students by asking them to explain topics to me to show an understanding of the information. I also find showing examples of how to complete problems and then allowing the student to complete a similar question an important tool for education. I am happy to adapt to my student's needs and think my lesson plans will be best for middle and high school-age students, specifically in STEM courses.
