About Ethan
I am super passionate about history and teaching youth, and I am currently studying to become a high school history teacher! I have a year of experience teaching middle and elementary school history. One of the biggest advantages I can offer is that I recently was a high school student, which means that I clearly remember what those courses demand of their students as well as what it takes to crush the AP exam and make the class feel easy! I also have one year left of my undergraduate program, during which I have tutored several courses through my college. Overall, my goal is to help my students succeed and gain an advantage going into the next school year!

I am heavily invested in seeing every one of my students discover the joys of the past. History may seem like only names and dates, but I believe in teaching the same skills used by historians and applying them to our everyday lives. My lessons mainly focus on the ability to gather evidence and present it in a clear argument, a skill that will prove invaluable for a developing citizen as well as for many career paths. Lessons will also ensure that the student gains an appropriate understanding of the chosen topic for their grade level, and will also receive additional knowledge that will give an edge in AP/honors courses. I can confidently teach all levels from kindergarten to undergraduate. I specialize in American history, though I am also proficient in modern Middle Eastern history (1920-present), Revolutionary European history (1650-1930), and 20th century Britain.
