About Charlie
I’m a current student doing my A Levels (maths, physics and economics) and am also an elite swimmer with a lot of coaching experience. On top of this I’ve also done tutoring and taught year 7. Although younger and with less teaching experience I am very familiar with GCSE content for both maths and physics additionally I hope that being younger can help me be relatable to students. I strive for all my students to succeed and achieve what they are aiming for across all of their subjects and outside of school too.

I’ve found it most useful to start with an example to run through the basic idea then lead into a student-led question with my oversight. After the student grasps the concept I like to let them do some more challenging questions with me there if needed but mostly autonomously (this helps to build confidence). Additionally I’ve found that doing some work outside of classes can be of great help too. This comes in the form of some flipped learning (before the lesson) and also a review (after the lesson), however I’m conscious not to give too much homework as it can be overwhelming on top of schoolwork.
