About Sofia
My strong academic background in chemistry and biology, combined with a genuine passion for science, has prepared me to explain scientific concepts clearly. Through my research experience and coursework, I have developed a deep understanding of the material and a commitment to helping others develop the same scientific intuition and curiosity that drives my work. I currently hold a 4.0 GPA, and graduated high school with a 4.5 having taken 3 advanced biology courses during my 4 years, along with 2 more now in college. I have taken 3 courses in general chemistry, and am entering organic chemistry this fall. I specialize in science, but can teach all subjects up to the 10th grade level. Any grade k-12 for bio/chem related subjects is within my expertise.

My approach to chemistry is catered towards anybody who thinks chemistry is "difficult and pointless" because that used to be me!
I teach through

- active learning techniques
- building a model through memorization of individual aspects
to help students know and love science the way I do!
