About Neve
I have always been keen to share my knowledge and before applying to University I was stuck between going to Vet School or taking a course to become a secondary school teacher. Being a tutor lets me do both at the same time! I love being able to help students overcome issues they are facing in the classroom and help develop personalised strategies to overcome these. I know first-hand how stressful it can be to sit in a classroom, eager to learn and do well in exams but simply being unable to take in the knowledge being blurted at you. In school I was a really keen student but always felt that the teaching I was receiving was sub-par and my full potential was not being unlocked. I found that 1-1 private tuition really helped me unlock my full potential. I understand how stressful and expensive these private tuition lessons can be to access, this is why I am offering a discounted rate for students who attend a contextual school. Students who believe they may be eligible for the discounted rate should discuss this in our free first 30 minutes lesson.

Lessons :
First lesson is free to help understand what you need to work on and how I can help you develop skills to unlock your full potential. Tailored lessons for each student working on building confidence and those all important problem solving skills. Improving and developing exam techniques to help structure answers to achieve available marks in assessments. Free access to a variety of resources.
Lessons are typically 50 minutes long but I am happy to consider lengths of different times to best suit each student. These lessons can be delivered online or in-person.
I have experience sitting a variety of exams and I am familiar with the content for both GCSE, National 5 AS levels and Higher exams. I am a current Veterinary Medicine Student at The Royal Veterinary College. I know the UCAS application process well and can help students navigate this if this is something that they would be interested in.
*GCSE's and AS levels are typically taken by English students, National 5 and Higher's are typically taken by Scottish students.
