About Taro
I'm Japanese but have been living in an English-speaking country for my whole life and graduated high school in New Zealand. Currently, I'm an engineering student at the University of Auckland. I have done some tutoring for some primary kids back in high school helping them with math homework from an afterschool Japanese program I used to go to.

I’m a uni student with past tutoring experience, and I specialize in helping others wrap their heads around NCEA Level 1 and 2 Maths but can also teach Japanese. My approach is pretty straightforward: we’ll spend the start of a topic locking in the core concepts, then spend the rest of the time grinding through past papers together so you’re actually ready for the externals. I offer flexible hours to fit around your school schedule, with sessions capped at 1.5 hours to keep things productive without burning out. Whether you're struggling with the basics or just need someone to walk through practice questions one-on-one, I’m here to help you get the grades you're after.
