About Tyler
I have been playing guitar for 7 years and have been teaching lessons for 5 years. I have taught students from age 6 to age 66 (seriously 66, she was brand new to music and so awesome.) and I firmly believe that music is crucial for the existence of a healthy society. Music is healthy and fun and challenging and frustrating and beautiful and absolutely worth every iota of time you invest into trying to understand, create, or simply listen to it. It is because of my deep love for music I want to share the little that I know with whoever is interested.

My teaching method I believe is unique in that I do not firmly develop my curriculum until after I have met each student. Because not everyone learns new skills in the same manner, I have come to realize that rigid techniques of instruction are ineffective and simply, not fun. I teach music the same way I would teach a language, because I believe music is a language; a universal language that everyone can understand and connect with.
I am more than willing to work with you on what you are looking for out of the guitar, and hopefully, I can show you not just what music can do for you, but what you can do for music.
