About Laila
I'm Laila, I'm a 19 year old first year English student, wanting to pursue the interest of helping younger students not only excel in English literature but also to understand the subject from a place of admiration.
With poetry awards, an advanced background in the art of debate, a skill picked up through a senior position on numerous school debate teams, and experience with personal statement enhancement, I believe I can deliver English tutoring in a consistently exciting and engaging way for students, while also being personal and uniquely tailored

For A-level and GCSE prep we will go over texts in great detail practising and mastering the skill of close reading. I will also ask the student to consider a debate question regarding the text during there outside of tutoring reading, so that we can use there notes to develop a high level essay plan. A process that when practised will prepare them excellently for examinations
