About Tanz
My name is Tanz, and I’m a tutor because I genuinely love helping people learn and grow. Teaching isn’t just a job for me—it’s a chance to make a real difference in someone’s confidence and future. I believe everyone learns in their unique way, and my goal is to help you find what works best for you. Whether you’re aiming to pass an important exam, improve your grades, or just understand something tricky, I’m here to support you every step of the way. What inspires me most about teaching is seeing that “lightbulb moment”—when something suddenly makes sense and you feel proud of your progress. That’s what makes it all worth it. My approach is highly student-centred and adaptive. I believe that effective tutoring involves more than just delivering information—it's about understanding how each student learns best and tailoring lessons accordingly. I typically use PowerPoint and Word so notes and feedback can be sent back to the student. My lessons are one hour, though I offer 30-minute or 90-minute sessions depending on the student and their needs. I am finishing my last year of studying a BA in English at the University of Oxford and have previously taught students for SATs and GCSE English. Lessons will be from year 4 to year 13 (8 year olds to 18 year olds)
