About Jessica
I am Jessica and I am half Japanese and half Taiwanese. I spent most of my life in Taiwan and was also living in Japan from time to time. My background allows me to have a deep understanding for the Chinese language, which Japanese had borrowed their language from. I learned Japanese both in school and by myself so I understand the struggles that students are facing. I want to help students also studying UQ's Japanese course to better understand the culture and improve their Japanese.

I will teach students the correct way to understand kanjis, that is, teaching them about the cultural background. I also have well-written grammar notes that I will use to teach in order for students that are unfamiliar with the culture and language to build a solid foundation in grammar. Classes will usually be 1.5-2hours and I will be teaching in English. I've been tutoring for over 3 years so I am confident with my abilities. My Japanese lessons will be for beginner levels.
