About Teegan
I am currently an undergraduate student working towards my bachelors degree in Bioengineering with a cellular focus. I have maintained an overall GPA of 3.5 in my few years at college so far. Throughout my time in college, I have managed to tutor fellow peers through holding scheduled study groups and individualized sessions with high approval from my professors. Along with teaching fellow college peers, I have also had the opportunity to work with young students in their mathematic courses as well. One of the best feelings when teaching mathematics is when there is that lightbulb moment of pure understanding! I ensure high levels of patience and find positive reinforcement to be the best way of teaching such confusing concepts. Everyone has to start somewhere, so why not here!

Throughout my time in college so far, I have been able to tutor fellow peers and younger children through mathematic courses with a high academic success! Before beginning any lessons, I take questions and genuinely want to understand where there is weakness and strengths in certain topics. I find the best approach is to walk through individual problems by discussing how we should decide to go about the problem, and then move forward from there. Typically, I begin by demonstrating problems and explaining each step, even explaining the smallest of arithmetic to overall theorems and concepts. Next, we would then walk through a problem together while asking numerous questions to ensure there is a genuine understanding towards what we are working towards. I find the best way of to learn is through active engagement, constant questioning, and genuine patience!
