About Mahek
I am a hard working undergraduate myself and I personally found it helpful to have a tutor through secondary school and sixth form, so I try to be a creative tutor whilst following subject syllabus' ensuring that all areas of content are covered but in an innovative way. I have had over 2 years tutoring experience at different academies working with hundreds of students whom have all felt satisfied and content with my teaching methods.

With primary students I tend to have 2 hour sessions with breaks in between if needed to ensure the students comfortability. I ensure to cover all content for Maths, English and Science through several methods both verbal and written. I combine different materials such as textbooks, test papers and more creative ways to learns such as word puzzles and quizzes.
For secondary students my lessons are specifically for those studying English, Science and Maths (year 7- year 9). The typical length of lessons are between 2-3 hours per subject depending on the students. Students of this age tend to learn more from understanding content off their textbooks referencing their subject syllabus, which I then convert into practice questions. I also ensure secondary students are given a minimum of 2 test papers a week to ensure all knowledge learnt is not forgotten, I then use these test results to pick out any weaknesses to review in the next lesson.
For GCSE students I only teach Maths, mainly focusing on methods and ways to answer questions using their textbooks whilst referencing the syllabus. I mainly use past papers and textbook questions for GCSE Maths as it is more practical than essay based and requires a lot of exam based questions.
I have been a tutor at 2 different companies, where I was also a supervisor after a few months at the first company, working with children from 4-16 year olds.
