  • Can you tell us about your first experience using a computer?

My first real experience with a computer was in 2006, on my aunt’s PC. I helped her set up software to download movies using BitTorrent/torrents. That moment felt like a small revolution: I realised computers weren’t “magic”, they were systems you could understand, explore, and improve. I became obsessed with how things worked, from the operating system and applications down to the logic behind electronic components. I learned mostly through curiosity and trial-and-error, exploring features, breaking things safely, and figuring them out without Googling or using AI.
  • What is the technological evolution that has marked you most and what will be, in your eyes, a turning point in this field?

The biggest evolution for me is the shift from on-premises environments to cloud-hosted, on-demand infrastructure. It has transformed accessibility: services can now scale globally without depending on local hardware, availability, or expensive infrastructure. Cloud technology has made IT more flexible, affordable, and widely available, and I believe it will continue to become the default for most organisations and everyday users over the long term.
  • Explain your expertise, your interest in it and, more broadly, its importance in the computer world.

My expertise sits at the intersection of IT consultancy and cyber security. I help organisations and individuals improve reliability, performance, and security across both hardware and software systems, while also making sure they understand what is happening and why. For non-technical people, technology can feel overwhelming, but having a clear high-level understanding is essential, whether you’re running a business, handling sensitive data, or simply using digital tools safely. IT is the foundation of productivity, communication, and trust in the modern world.
  • Do so-called 'visionaries', such as Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg inspire you or do you have other role models?

I certainly respect what leaders like Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, and Mark Zuckerberg achieved in terms of scale and impact. But I’m most inspired by the people who built the backbone of our digital world: the engineers and creators behind the scenes. A key role model for me is Linus Torvalds, the creator of Linux, which underpins countless critical systems and much of modern infrastructure and security. In my view, these “quiet builders” don’t always receive the credit they deserve.
  • Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

During my studies, one of the most valuable lessons wasn’t purely technical: it was learning the importance of structure and documentation. In a lab session on system analysis and evidence handling, we had to record every step precisely, without assuming the next person would “just know” what to do. Even small steps mattered, because skipping one detail could make the whole process really difficult to reproduce. I still apply that mindset in my professional work: clear, step-by-step handovers reduce confusion, speed up troubleshooting, and make collaboration much smoother. It’s also the same approach I bring into tutoring.
  • What would you say to an uncomfortable person in front of a screen who says that "IT is too complicated"?

I would say: “It only feels complicated when you look at it all at once.” IT often comes with hidden assumptions, so it’s normal to feel overwhelmed. The solution is to break it down into small, practical steps and learn them one at a time. With the right fundamentals, technology becomes predictable, not scary. And once you gain a bit of confidence, curiosity usually takes over, and you start wanting to learn what comes next.
  • What are your other passions, related or non-related to computers?

Outside of tech, I’m interested in personal development and problem-solving, anything that helps improve habits, systems, and everyday efficiency. I also enjoy activities that reset the mind: music is a big one for me, and I stay active through calisthenics and running. Keeping a balance between mental focus and physical activity helps me stay sharp and motivated.
  • What makes you a Superprof in IT?

What makes me a Superprof is that I combine real industry experience with a practical teaching approach. I don’t just teach theory, I help students build skills that match what employers and real-world projects require, whether it’s digital confidence, workplace tools, or structured problem-solving. I tailor lessons to each person’s goals and explain the “why” behind each step, so students become independent, not just able to follow instructions.
