About McKenzie
I recently earned my masters in Theology at Yale and moved to Nashville to get involved in the songwriting scene. During my undergrad at Notre Dame, I often peer tutored friends and edited papers for my fellow students. I have always loved to read, and I have spent a lot of time talking about books in and out of the classroom. Having spent 19 years of my life in school and attended two top universities, I am well-versed in academic writing and love to pass my experience on to other students!

I try to cater my teaching approach to the needs of each individual student. I love to talk about literature, and I hope my enthusiasm can be contagious, so I tend toward a discussion-based learning environment. I also recognize that different students have different learning styles and interests that make them unique, and so I really enjoy getting to know my students and meeting them where they are at.
