About Julia
My name is Julia and I'm a Toronto-based dance artist! I began dancing at the age of 3.5, starting with Chinese folk dance before venturing into commercial dance styles. After discovering my passion I went to get my dance diploma. I am confident in my work and passionate about helping others navigate their love for dance as well! Let's discuss your goals first, we can dive into a safe discussion about what you want to learn and work on! Lessons typically start with basic grooves to warm up, some stretching and conditioning, and then movement breakdown to learn a piece of choreography. I teach all levels- beginner to advanced, whether you're new or an experienced dancer. I am confident in my ability to help you see the results that you're working towards with each lesson.
Things we can work on include but are not limited to- fundamentals, attention to detail, lines, musicality, textures, dynamics, choreography execution, choreography retention, performance/facials, etc.
The first trial lesson will be held online and can be used to discuss this!
