About Umaima
I am a 3rd year Biomedical science student Majoring in Molecular life sciences, I used to facilitate a group study session for anatomy for 1 trimester where my students all earned Distinctions or higher. I now facilitate a group study session for Cell Biology at my University and have a strong tutoring capability. I have also mentored new students at Deakin University and assisted with their transitioning which has equipped me with exceptional communication skills in working with people of different learning styles

My teaching method is mainly but not limited to-demonstrating and collaborating. I focus my classes on explaining the basis of science processes and provide real world applied problems to enable a better understanding of content. I also enjoy collaborating as I like to allow students to actively participate and voice their thoughts and understanding. The lesson structure may start off with focusing on what the students need most help with and asking questions to students to elicit knowledge that they know and build from that
