I follow five steps that help me organise the way I plan my lessons.
STEP 1: Know my students' needs and talent
This because It will help me choose my learning goals, topics, and teaching approaches
adequately. If I know what my students are good at, what skills they need to develop, what
fascinates them the most, and what their preferred learning styles are, It would be easy for me to
teach and easy for them to learn.
STEP 2: Choose the goal to achieve.
That is because I need to know what specific skills and knowledge I want my students to develop
during one single lesson or unit.
STEP 3: Pick exciting topics or learning contexts
That is because I keep the student interested. One way to do so is to look for some connections
between the topic and my students’ current interests.
STEP 4: Use a range of teaching methods and approaches
Choosing various methods of delivery will make your lessons more dynamic.
STEP 5: Assessment / Evaluation
Short tests to check my students’ understanding.
Feedbacks from students are very important to me. It would help me to improve my teaching methods and be able to communicate with them in the most efficient way.
