As a student with a deep love for history, I bring a unique perspective to tutoring that combines academic excellence with a peer-based approach. I understand the challenges students face because I am a student myself, and this enables me to connect with my peers on a level. As a tutor, I employ a focus on student centered approach, focusing on active learning and engagement.
Interactive Discussions:
Encouraging students to ask questions and participate in discussions to deepen their understanding of historical events and concepts.
Multimedia Resources:
Using videos, primary source documents, and interactive timelines to make history come alive and more relatable.
Critical Thinking Exercises:
Helping students analyze historical events from multiple perspectives and understand their broader implications.
A typical lesson plan.
I would be teaching in the area they are having struggles with. I will give a brief overview about the topic. After that ask the student what they would know after have a discussion and a in depth analysis of the topic that is being learned about. after that have a critical thinking exercise. Then ending with a Review and summary.
