About Julia
I am a 20 year old student studying French and Spanish at the University of Bristol.
I have been studying French for 8 years, and in September I will be moving to France for five months to work there as part of my degree. I have a solid knowledge of the structure of the language, the grammar, and a wide range of vocabulary - as well as great listening and speaking ability.
I adore learning languages and teaching; at secondary school I helped in a French class every week and assisted students in their learning. I am a member of the French society at university also, which includes attending French/English conversation classes, trips to France, and organising events.
I studied English Language & Literature (Grade A*), Media studies (Grade A) and French (Grade B). I have 12 GCSE'S with A* -B grades, including an A* in French. I achieved a 2:1 last year in university.
Due to my previous jobs at HomeBase and Home Bargains, I had to develop excellent communication and people skills; especially at HomeBase, where customers relied on me for information regarding products. Thanks to these jobs and also my studies at university, I have developed great self discipline, confidence and motivation.

- Beginning with a reading of a French article or short piece of literature, and then a short discussion about it in French (this will aid in comprehension skills and speaking and listening practise)
- 15/20 min grammar workshop every class
- A listening activity and questions to answer
- Vocab practise games
My course can be specifically structured to the GCSE syllabus, or just general practise.
